MuscleMetria Privacy Policy

MuscleMetria is a fitness, nutrition, body-metrics, and coach-connected tracking app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

MuscleMetria is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, injury assessment, or medical advice. Fitness, nutrition, AI-assisted, and coach-connected information is for general wellness and self-management only.

Data Collection

MuscleMetria stores the following data to provide its services:

• Workout logs: exercises, sets, reps, weights, dates, completion status, substitutions, RPE/RIR, and workout execution snapshots.
• Training plans: plan names, day structures, exercises, target sets, target reps, and assigned training plans.
• Nutrition data: food logs, meal plans, recipes, nutrition targets, planned meal completion, substitutions, micronutrients, and diet execution status.
• Body and progress data: body measurements, progress updates, progress photos, and form-check submissions you choose to create.
• Health data you authorize: selected Apple Health, HealthKit, Health Connect, or Android sensor data such as steps, height, weight, heart rate, resting heart rate, active or basal energy, and calories burned.
• Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, profile information, password-reset state, and linked sign-in provider information when you create or sign in to an account.
• Coach-client data: invite codes, coach-client links, plan and nutrition assignments, check-ins, form checks, progress photos, coach notes, and planned-vs-actual execution snapshots.
• Optional AI inputs: text prompts, training or nutrition preferences, body metrics, location or region context, photos, screenshots, documents, and other content you choose to submit for AI recognition, plan generation, or review workflows.
• Device and app settings: language, theme, app style, feature toggles, local sync state, and similar app preferences.

Fitness and nutrition data is stored locally on your device by default. If you sign in or use coach-connected features, relevant data may also be synced to cloud services so the app can provide backup, multi-device sync, and coach workflows.

Health Data

Health sync is optional. MuscleMetria only reads health data types you authorize through Apple Health, HealthKit, Google Health Connect, or Android runtime permissions.

Health data may be used to:

• display your own health and fitness summary inside the app;
• fill body metrics such as height, weight, and steps;
• provide context for training, nutrition, and AI-assisted planning features;
• share progress with an assigned coach when you have signed in and enabled coach-connected workflows.

MuscleMetria does not sell health data, does not use health data for advertising, and does not use health data to make medical decisions.

Location Data

MuscleMetria may request location permission only when you choose to fill your region or use local context for training or nutrition features. The app does not track your location in the background.

Location or region information may be used to personalize food, nutrition, or training context, including AI-assisted suggestions when you choose to use those features.

Photos, Camera, and Documents

MuscleMetria may use the camera, selected photos, or selected documents when you choose to:

• scan food barcodes;
• recognize meals, recipes, equipment, or training plans;
• submit progress photos or form-check media;
• attach media for coach-connected review.

Media submitted for coach workflows may be uploaded to private cloud storage and made available to authorized coaches connected to your account. Media submitted to AI features may be sent to the AI backend and AI provider to generate the requested result.

Cloud Sync

If you choose to sign in, MuscleMetria syncs selected app data to Supabase so the app can provide:

• account authentication;
• data backup and recovery;
• multi-device sync;
• coach-client features;
• owner-managed coach and AI authorization;
• private media storage for coach-connected submissions.

Cloud access is controlled by authentication, account authorization, Supabase security rules, and backend checks.

AI-Assisted Features

AI-assisted features are optional and account-authorized. Regular accounts may not see or use AI features unless access has been enabled for that account.

When you use an AI feature, MuscleMetria sends the text, image, document, body metric, training, nutrition, region, or other context you choose to provide to the MuscleMetria AI backend. The backend verifies your account authorization and then sends the required request data to the configured AI provider to generate the requested result.

AI outputs can be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated plans, food recognition results, and form-review summaries before relying on them.

Data Sharing

• Your data is never sold to third parties.
• MuscleMetria does not use your data for third-party advertising.
• If you use the coach feature, your assigned coach can view relevant workout logs, nutrition data, health summaries, check-ins, form checks, progress photos, assigned plans, and progress information.
• You can revoke or remove coach access through the app where supported, or contact us for help.
• We may share data with service providers only as needed to operate app services, authentication, cloud storage, AI processing, food lookup, and support.

Data Export and Deletion

• You can export app data from Settings where supported.
• You can delete many individual records, plans, entries, photos, and coach-related items inside the app.
• You can delete your account and associated cloud data from Settings.

Deleting your account permanently removes your account and app cloud data from our production systems, except limited records we are required to keep for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, dispute-resolution, or compliance reasons.

Third-Party Services

MuscleMetria uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: authentication, database, cloud sync, private storage, and account authorization.
• OpenFoodFacts: barcode food lookup.
• Apple Health / HealthKit: optional iOS health data access when authorized by you.
• Google Health Connect: optional Android health data access when authorized by you.
• Android activity recognition / sensor APIs: optional Android step fallback when authorized by you.
• Apple, Google, and GitHub sign-in services: optional account sign-in providers where available.
• Cloudflare Worker AI backend: account authorization checks, AI request routing, and AI quota enforcement.
• Volcengine Ark / Doubao: optional AI generation and photo recognition provider.

These services process information only as needed to provide the app features you choose to use.

Children

MuscleMetria is intended for users aged 13 and older. The app is not directed to children under 13.
